We were creating a very Coquette birthday party which obviously had to include a stacked macaron cake. This cake came out much prettier than I ever imagined and was incredibly simple to make.
With the addition of flowers, candles and party blowers, it’s a cute stacked cake to center any spring girlie birthday party. You could also use different additions to make the cake match whatever party theme you are going for.

The trick to creating this beautiful stacked cake is Coscto Macarons! They are the prettiest colors and ready for you to get stacking. I used 3 boxes of them for the cake, leaving out some of the brown ones for a more vibrant color scheme that matched my girlie bow birthday party.
If baking your own Macarons is what you’d like to do, here is an easy recipe to try. The great thing about making them at home is you can be 100% in charge of the colors you decide to use.
Wouldn’t this cake also be pretty in darker hues of blue and grey for a fall party or wedding?
Ingredients To Use
To make this cake you will need macarons (either store bought or homemade), tooth picks, a floral tree frame, and whatever you plan to fill in your cake holes with.
How To Do The Stacking
And now the fun part, we start stacking our cake up!
- Open up all the boxes
- Break all of your toothpicks in half so they will be the correct size to stick into the form, but not stick out of your cookie
- You can pre-place the toothpicks into the macarons for easier stacking
- Start at the bottom and stack up in layers around your tree form by pushing the macaron cookie into the form as you go
Now add in the fun extra stuff, I just loved how our candles popped out of the cake in every which way and direction making a fun party statement.
Light up your stacked macaroon cake and enjoy the party! Love this for any fun girl loving party.
PS. Cherry candles are also very on point for your fav girlies this season.
