My easy custom DIY jello mold trick
To make the custom jello molds, you’ll need:
- Small piece of cardboard
- Thick cardstock paper
- Tape
- Plastic wrap

Creating the jello molds
1. Start by drawing a cloud shape onto a clean, flat piece of cardboard, then cut it out with a craft knife or your trusty scissors. Once I finalized the mold base, I started work on the border.
2. Cut long strips out of your favorite cardstock. I found that a 1- or 2-inch-wide strip works best.
3. Once my cuts were complete, it was time to assemble the molds. The trick is to make sure the paper walls fit flush to the edge of your cardboard.
4. Once I made sure that the paper edges were long enough to cover the entire cardboard base, I used masking tape to attach the inside and outside of the walls to the cardboard.

5. Be sure that your walls are secure; they shouldn’t wiggle at all.
6. After your mold is shaped, line it with cellophane or plastic wrap.
How to pour Jell-O into the custom mold
Pro Tip: Before carefully pouring your Jello into your cardboard molds, place each mold onto a baking tray.
This will ensure you can easily move your pre-set Jell-O into the fridge.
I found that using a teaspoon helped gently press the liquid Jell-O into the mold. Be sure to fill the mold completely. Let your Jell-O set in the fridge for the recommended time on your box.
Once set, remove your finished jello mold recipes from the fridge and turn them upside down onto your serving plate. The jello should slide out of the paper molds fairly easily, and the cellophane can be peeled off carefully to retain the cloud shape.

Decorate with whipped cream, sprinkles, and Jell-O jello raindrops.
For the raindrops Jell-O mold recipes, make a shallow tray of blue Jell-O and cut into small squares once set.
