I made this painted pinecone table runner for our November Thanksgiving & Friendsgiving tablescape because I love bringing bright colors into our more subtly hued fall holidays.
Lined down the center of the table, they bring just the right mix of fall and holiday color. It feels like the perfect bridge between the seasons.

And once the big meals are over, the pine cones look just as pretty on the mantel surrounded by a snowy Christmas scene.
Supplies
Supplies you’ll need to create this look:
- Pine cones in different sizes – great idea for foraging this weekend
- Spray paint
- Gold acrylic paint
- Small paintbrush
- Round wooden platforms
- Wooden skewers
- Hot glue gun
- Drill
- 1/32” drill bit

Make A Painted Pinecone Table Centerpiece
Steps to create the pinecone table runner:
1. Spray paint the pine cones in bright colors and let them dry.
2. While they dry, paint the wooden platforms and the skewers with gold paint. Set them aside to dry.
3. When the platforms are dry, drill a small hole in the center of each one.
4. Cut the skewers into different heights so the pine cones sit at different levels.

5. Glue one end of each skewer into a platform. Then glue the other end to the bottom of a pine cone.
6. Spread the painted pine cones across your table to make a happy, colorful runner.
It is such a festive look for every feast this season.

The look is so pretty when spread along a table as the centerpiece; the pinecones are a gorgeous way to center a Friendsgiving brunch or Thanksgiving feast.
A bright dose of holiday color sounds like exactly what our fall feasts need this year.
Bonus: After the feasts of this month are through, the pine cones look beautiful on a mantel, surrounded by present cakes & mini pom garland for a Christmas theme.
