Did you know they make dragon fruit that is red!? So perfect for a Valentine’s Day cocktail.
I’m calling this on the Dragon Heart French 75.
Your Galentines and beau will love it.
I was so excited to see the pretty hearts that this red dragon fruit created and it immediately got me thinking about what dragon fruit cocktail I could make with it.
Keeping it simple with my favorite French 75 cocktail recipe so the sweet fruit can stay as the star of the show on this one.
Dragon Heart French 75 Ingredients
What you’ll need to make this (Recipe serves 2):
- Dragon fruit
- 1 lemon
- Gin (The Gray Whale California based gin is a good one to stand up to te champagne in this one)
- Champagne
- Simple Syrup if you like yours sweet (I think the fruit sweetens it just perfectly though)
Dragon Fruit Cocktail Recipe
The step by step process is so easy to make this cocktail.
You’ll start by cutting the dragon fruit into slices and then use a paring knife to cut out the hearts for your cocktail.
I liked using coupe glasses to serve these so the hearts would have plenty of room to star in the drink.
Juice 1/2 a lemon per cocktail and then add your 1 oz gin.
Gently place one dragon heart into each of your cocktails for a show stopping, heart throb of a drink!
Top with champagne and serve to your Valentine this year.
Cheers to a tasty Valentines Day!
