Serve Up Shots

Our neighborhood gets into Halloween and can take trick-or-treating to a whole new level.

At many houses, the owners will welcome neighbors with a drink while their kids trick-or-treat! Such fun…

Either these Halloween pumpkin jello shots or these candy corn shots are my plan to make a street-full (or office full) of friends this Halloween.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup pumpkin vodka I used Crop Spiced Organic
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Instructions

Instruction

  • Empty out a SMALL pie pumpkin (be sure to remove ALL guts and wash out).
  • Mix the jello shot mixture all four ingredients together in a bowl.
  • Fill the pumpkin with jello shot mixture.
  • Refrigerate OVERNIGHT!

Notes

If you refrigerate the suggested 3 hours (as jello packets suggest), the jello won't be firm enough. Refrigerating overnight is a must!

Pumpkin Jello Shot Tips

Because we are filling a pumpkin with these, the instructions clearly say to refrigerate overnight. If instead you want to cut out sections of the pumpkins to serve with a rind, a shorter cool time is necessary.

Think the more volume, the more fridge time these jello shots need.

Serve In A Pumpkin Rind

I love repurposing pumpkins, and using the rind to serve up these Jello Shots is my favorite idea yet.

To serve up, slice these Halloween jello shots into fourths, eighths, or more once they are nice and firm. Slurp and enjoy.
