Did you know that you can make donut butterflies the easiest way possible?
They are a sweet way to serve up a flutter winged dessrt at a butterfly party or any summer soiree.

I made my donut butterflies with mini donuts that are frosted in pinks and whites.
They work with regular-sized donuts as well, so whether you’re setting out a dessert spread for little kids or adults, this idea will work!

Donut Butterflies
Donuts made into cute butterflies
Ingredients
- 4 mini donuts
- 4 toothpicks
- 1 tbsp frosting
Instructions
- Cut the donut in half.
- Use a toothpick to secure the donut back to back making the butterfly wings. For the mini-donuts I cut my toothpicks in half, use a full toothpick for a regular donut butterfly.
- Add extra frosting if desired to create a more beautiful butterfly. You can also add a sprig of mint or lavender down the middle to create the antenna.

I grabbed these cute mini donuts from the store. They come in cute colors and work great for creating the butterfly look we were after. See the rest of the butterfly party ideas right here.
