Halloween Sweets, candied apples as monsters.

Monster Candy Apples

These spooky treats are delicious and just in time for Halloween.

Equipment

  • 5 Pipping Bags
  • 15 toothpicks
  • 5 Candy Sticks
  • 1 Grass Piping Tip

Ingredients
  

  • 5 Green Apples
  • 1 bag Melting Chocolate
  • 10 Mini Oreos
  • 1 bag Laffy Taffy
  • 1 bag Mini Marshmallows
  • 1 bag Eyeball Candies
  • 1 bottle Sprinkles
  • 1 container Colorful Cotton Candy

Instructions
 

  • Start by inserting your candy stick into the center of the apple.
      
  • Melt your chocolate and cover your apple. Freeze between each step.
  • Make sure to freeze in between each step to prevent movement of each ingredient.
  • Use your melted chocolate to attach you embellishments, a little goes a long way.

Create your Lips and Mouth

  • Microwave Laffy Taffy for about 3-5 seconds to ensure it is soft and pliable.
  • Add Mini Marshmallow to create the look of teeth on the candy apples.
  • Add a piece of cotton candy for hair.

Green Candy Apple Instructions

  • To create your green candy apples monster eyes, stick a toothpick in between the cookies of the mini oreos. Then cover them in your melted chocolate. Add your eyeball candy and freeze.
  • Once your chocolate has set, insert the toothpick with the eyes to the body of the apple.

Orange Monster Candied Apple Instructions

  • Use your grass piping tool to create the monster fur effect on the candy apple.
  • To create ears, stick a toothpick in between the cookies of the mini oreos. Then cover them in your melted chocolate and create the same fur effect with your grass piping tip.
  • Next use your melted chocolate to attach your embellishments, a little goes a long way.
  • To create your lips, I used Laffy Taffy. I microwaved the laffy taffy for about 3-5 seconds to make it soft and pliable.
  • Add mini marshmallows to create the look of teeth.
  • Add Apples to freeze for final chance to solidify your eyes, hair and tongues.
