While I was looking into all the ways to make a bunny cake for Easter… many of them were WAY more complicated than I had time for.
Until I stumbled upon the idea this 3 ingredient easy peasy version of the cutest sweet bunny face dessert around. I instantly realized it would make the best Easter treat and it came out even more cute than I imagined.
Marshmallow Bunny Ears Cakes & Cupcakes
The genius to this bunny ear cake is to cut the marshmallow cut in half!
To get the correct looking ears you’ll need a square marshmallow like this kind, normally used for s’mores.

Easy Bunny Cake Recipe
Equipment
- 2 toothpicks
Ingredients
- 1 square marshmallow
- 1/2 cup sprinkles
- 1 Jelly bean
Instructions
- Cut the marshmallow in half and stick a toothpick in each end.
- Dredge the cut side of each marshmallow in a shallow bowl of sprinkles.
- Add one jelly bean in the center of the cake as the bunny nose.
- Use edible grass for whiskers if you like that look.
Notes
Bunny Cupcakes
This recipe can be used to make bunny cupcakes as well. I made both versions for our Easter brunch table and they were a hit.
Dipping the marshmallows in sprinkles is what turns them into the look of bunny ears, so don’t miss this step.
You can use any sprinkles you want here, a pastel pink or lavender would also be pretty.
I went with bright pink, because that’s how I roll – the brighter the bunny the happier the bunny in my book.
See how easy sticking the ears into the cake is!
Love this look for any Easter treat…
In fact we ended up using the idea to create cupcakes as well.
To finish off the cake a jelly beans nose and a few whiskers is all you need. I like using the edible grass for whiskers, but matchstick carrots would work as well.
What are you serving this Easter? Let’s make it easy and fun together!
This is SO good! I made this with my kids the other night and they thought it was so fun!
